 Educational Background/Employment:
  • Diplom-Physiker (Master of Science, Physics): University of Augsburg, Germany (2008)
  • Doctor rerum naturalium (Doctor of Science, Physics): University of Augsburg, Germany (2011)
  • Employment:
    • 08/2008-08/2011: Research Fellow, University of Augsburg, Augsburg, Germany
    • 09/2011-07/2014: Research Associate, University of Maryland, College Park, Maryland
    • 08/2014-present: Director's Funded Postdoctoral Fellow, Los Alamos National Laboratory, Los Alamos, New Mexico

Research Interests:

My research concerns topics of Quantum Thermodynamics. As a theoretical physicist, I employ tools from Statistical Physics, Open Quantum Dynamics, Quantum Information Theory, Quantum Optics, Condensed Matter Theory and Optimal Control Theory to investigate the nonequilibrium properties of nanosystems operating far from thermal equilibrium.
