Hierarchical Regular Networks

Stefan Boettcher
Emory University

I will introduce a set networks that combine a lattice backbone with long-range links in a hierarchical manner. These networks allow to interpolate between geometric and small-world properties in a way that enables exact renormalization group analysis. I will present a number of elegant results already obtained on these networks for geometric properties, percolation, diffusion, and Ising models. I will outline and hope to inspire a number of other statistical models that can be fruitfully analyzed on these networks.
