Ultracold Dipolar Scattering

Chris Ticknor
Swinburne University of Technology

The success of ultracold atomic physics has been underpinned by collisional control. The recent production of ultracold polar molecules underscores the need to understand molecular collisions in the ultracold environment. We explore recent advances in this field, especially the emergence of universal dipolar scattering and what it means for collisional control of these systems. Chris will be here most of the day on the 17th. If you would like to meet with him, please contact Lee Collins [lac@lanl.gov; 7-2100].

Host: James Colgan
