Fermions with attractive interactions are of interest to the study of superconductors and ultra-cold fermions. This talk consists of two inter-connected parts. In the first part I will address how to apply a finite-temperature BCS-BEC crossover theory to Fermi gases in the homogeneous case and in lattices. Our phase diagram for d-wave pairing captures interesting features of the experimental phase diagram of the cuprates. In the second part I will show how similar tools can be applied to cuprate superconductors and ultra-cold fermions. Thus, I will address angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy of cuprates and radio-frequency spectroscopy of ultra-cold fermions and discuss their analogy. Host: Jian-Xin Zhu, T-4 |
