Air-Blast FSI Using an Immersed Approach: Coupled IGA-Meshfree Formulation and Phase-Field Modeling of Fracture

Fluid--structure interaction (FSI) employing Isogeometric Analysis is discussed, and a novel framework for air-blast-structure interaction (ABSI) based on an immersed approach coupling IGA and RKPM-based Meshfree methods is presented and verified on a set of challenging examples. Extension of the ABSI framework to phase-filed modeling of fracture is presented and preliminary computations shown.
