Being able to accurately calculate fission observables from a large number of nuclei is important for a variety of applications from energy to defense to astrophysics. It is important to reproduce not only average quantities but also correlated ones in a consistent manner. Todo this, a Monte Carlo fission code, CGMF, has been developed at LANL which calculates the energy and momentum of fission fragments and promptneutron and gammas on an event-by-event basis. Many physics models go into this calculation, and still, there are always more that can be added for a more consistent framework. In this talk, I will discuss a few of the models that are being added and improved on, as well as some of the optimization work that is being used to ensure that we can not only reproduce experimental measurements but also make accurate predictions in regions were data is scarce or non-existent.
