From Bikes to Bears: Applications of Geographic Data Science

Arizona State University

Dr. Trisalyn Nelson will present spatial analysis research that answers questions of how grizzly bears movements can be used to understand landscape use and response to disturbance. Dr. Nelson will also present on how spatial data can be used to better understand bicycling safety and ridership and methods being developed by her team to use crowdsourcing and bias correction to improve data.
