Emission from Josephson vortices at the edges of long Josephson junctions have been suggested for generation of microwaves in the THz range, though the radiative power from a single junction is very small. Coupled Josephson junction have "bunched" soliton solutions where more solitons emits from the edges coherently, greatly increasing the radiated power. The repulsion of solitons in neighboring junctions prevents the formation of the bunched state, which can (once formed) be stable. In a system of two coupled long Josephson junctions embedded in a microwave field, we calculate analytically and numerically the conditions to get from the unbunched state to the bunched state.
