Koopman Operator Workshop Part IV - A New Hope for Operators and Inverse Problems

Prof. Joel Rosenfeld
Department of Mathematics and Statistics, University of South Florida

Leveraging the lessons learned in parts I through III, we are going to give an abstract perspective on the Koopman based learning problem, where we will see that this shares many features with much older operator learning methods that go back at least as far as Weierstrass. Utilizing this new framework, we will investigate alternative approaches to learning dynamical systems with operators as well as examine operator based algorithms for resolving other inverse problems in AI and elsewhere.

Host: Humberto C Godinez (CCS-2) and Nishant Panda (CCS-3)
