Colloquium

My journey understanding the basic forces and particles of nature

Rajan Gupta
(T-2)

This talk describes my journey as a scientist and what important lessons I have learned that I share with those starting their careers. I will then give an overview of the standard model of elementary particles and their interactions and what is missing. How we are searching for new physics and how first principle numerical simulations are providing properties of the elementary particles with ever increasing precision to impact experiments.
