Semiclassical Scattering on Conical Intersections

Eric Heatwole
University of Washington

Conical intersections are approached via a semiclassical expansion based on a path integral representation of the scattering matrix. Within this approximation we are able to provide an analytical expression for the scattering amplitude. Numerical simulations have been performed in order to verify the approximation. These results and a basic introduction to conical intersections will be dicussed.
